Elmwood comes from the elm tree, which is native to northern China.  It is denser than pine and is used for making Chinese furniture.  It is typically stained in brownish tones, resemblng teak, walnut, or pecan as in this one.  Chinese furniture crafted from elmwood is known for its durability, clean lines, and functional forms.  Features a warm patina and linear silhouette. This rare, hard to find triangular corner piece is a wonderful example of classical aesthetics and is quite a decorative cabinet in any home.
